Thanks to its provident-protection offers and its financing solutions for public healthcare players, La Banque Postale is making a concrete contribution to Goal 3.
In 2020, more than 700 million euros in funding were granted to public hospitals and 200 million euros in medium and long-term loans granted to public bodies and associations managing health and medico-social establishments. CNP Assurances, a subsidiary of La Banque Postale, also contributes strongly to this SDG with 38 million people insured in provident / protection. Going beyond its contractual obligations provided for in its corporate collective welfare contracts, CNP Assurances has dedicated 50 million euros to covering employee work stoppages for reasons such as childcare.

1.5 million customers excluded from the traditional banking system benefit from access to essential and free banking services thanks to the Livret A of La Banque Postale. 1.4 million people in a situation of over-indebtedness, banking prohibition or whose income is below the poverty line are identified as "financially vulnerable" at La Banque Postale. They benefit from a dedicated offer, the Simplicité account formula, and help from L’Appui, La Banque Postale’s banking and budgetary support platform.
In addition, located in the heart of the regions, La Banque Postale is positioned as a trusted player, aware of economic realities and territorial issues, and as a partner in a responsible economy.
Its products and services accessible to all and adapted to everyone's needs (student loans, comprehensive home insurance for young people and students, etc.) contribute to the development of regions.
La Banque Postale also remains an essential partner in the social and solidarity economy. One in four associations is a customer of La Banque Postale. Its advisors specializing in business centers support 5,000 of the main associations.
Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries
By promoting banking accessibility, diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities, La Banque Postale contributes to Goal 10.
In connection with SDG 8, with regard to its banking accessibility mission, La Banque Postale pays constant attention to vulnerable populations.
In addition, concerned with ensuring equal opportunities and eliminating discriminatory practices, La Banque Postale has made strong commitments in terms of diversity and inclusion at each stage of the professional life of its employees: recruitment, promotion and professional opportunity, development, maternity / paternity, support for the end of a career… In 2020, La Banque Postale achieved a gender equality index of 97/100, placing it among the leading French banks.
In addition, La Banque Postale is committed to societal patronage in favor of education and equal opportunities. To do this, in 2012 it created an association under the 1901 law: "L’Envol, the campus of La Banque Postale". It embodies its values and those of La Poste Group and fully involves its employees by promoting their civic engagement. Since 2012, 783 students have been supported by the Flight and more than 1,000 employees have joined the association.

In terms of asset and project financing, La Banque Postale, since its creation, has chosen to finance exclusively the development of renewable energies, excluding any financing of fossil energies.
Since its creation, La Banque Postale has been committed to a process of controlling the environmental impact of its activities, in particular by measuring and reducing its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. After achieving carbon neutrality across its entire operational scope in 2018, La Banque Postale has committed to achieving zero net emissions by 2040, i.e. 10 years before the deadline set by the Paris Agreement .
Finally, at the end of 2020, in accordance with the commitment made in 2018, its subsidiary LBP AM achieved its objective of labeling 100% of its open funds eligible for the SRI Label.
In addition, La Banque Postale is committed to the energy transition by supporting all of its customers through green loans for communities, SMEs and SMIs and a green range dedicated to individuals.
La Banque Postale also supports individuals in the energy renovation of their homes with zero-rate eco-loans and "green works" loans, and in their eco-mobility projects with the personal green vehicle loan.
