La Banque Postale has been awarded for its commitment to the climate

La Banque Postale, recognised for its international leadership in the fight against climate change has, for the second year in a row, been rated A by CDP, the standard-setting international not-for-profit charity in the assessment of corporate climate strategies. By committing to achieving zero net emissions by 2040 for its banking activities, La Banque Postale is the only French bank to receive such recognition by CDP in 2022 for its commitment to the climate, placing it among the 292 most effective companies worldwide in the fight against climate change.

La Banque Postale and Project Syndicate to launch the Sustainability Book Award

La Banque Postale and Project Syndicate, an international non-profit media organisation, are launching the "Sustainability Book Award", a new international academic prize that will be awarded each year to a book that contributes to a better understanding of global sustainability issues. The first winner of the award will be announced in July 2023 following the deliberations of an international jury of business leaders and sustainability experts.

Following the announcement of its company purpose in June 2021, La Banque Postale enters a new phase of its transformation by becoming a mission-led company. This decision was endorsed during the bank’s General Shareholders’ Meeting held on February 23, 2022. It confirms La Banque Postale’s commitment to ensure a “just transition” by including social and environmental targets at the heart of its governance. This approach is in line with La Poste Group’s commitment, as it also became a mission-led company last June.

La Banque Postale, committed to education and equal opportunities, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of L’Envol, its social sponsorship programme supported by the French Ministry of National Education. This programme aims to facilitate the academic and professional achievements of talented young students from less privileged backgrounds across France. To mark this anniversary, La Banque Postale is launching a skills-sharing programme which, in 2023, will allow employees to contribute to the initiative during their office hours.

La Banque Postale and CNP Assurances launch their first Infrastructure fund to accompany customers in the diversification of their savings

La Banque Postale and CNP Assurances have announced the introduction of their first Infrastructure fund, “LBPAM infrastructure Septembre 2030”. This fund has been developed in partnership with LBP Asset Management, La Banque Postale’s asset management subsidiary, and is available to their customers with life insurance policies. The fund will enable customers to diversify their assets and provide a new direction for their savings.

La Banque Postale, which is committed to ensuring that its banking activities achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2040, is the first European bank and one of the first financial institutions worldwide to have its decarbonisation pathway recognised by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a leading independent body led by four international organisations.

La Banque Postale joins forces with the United Nations within the Zero Net Emission Banking Alliance

Philippe Heim, Chairman of the Management Board of La Banque Postale, today signed the letter of commitment of the Net Zero Banking Alliance, supported by the UNEP FI (United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative) whose ambition is to achieve zero net emissions by 2050.
