Following the announcement of its company purpose in June 2021, La Banque Postale enters a new phase of its transformation by becoming a mission-led company. This decision was endorsed during the bank’s General Shareholders’ Meeting held on February 23, 2022. It confirms La Banque Postale’s commitment to ensure a “just transition” by including social and environmental targets at the heart of its governance. This approach is in line with La Poste Group’s commitment, as it also became a mission-led company last June.
La Banque Postale and CNP Assurances launch their first Infrastructure fund to accompany customers in the diversification of their savings
La Banque Postale and CNP Assurances have announced the introduction of their first Infrastructure fund, “LBPAM infrastructure Septembre 2030”. This fund has been developed in partnership with LBP Asset Management, La Banque Postale’s asset management subsidiary, and is available to their customers with life insurance policies. The fund will enable customers to diversify their assets and provide a new direction for their savings.
La Banque Postale is stepping up its decarbonisation strategy
La Banque Postale, which is committed to ensuring that its banking activities achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2040, is the first European bank and one of the first financial institutions worldwide to have its decarbonisation pathway recognised by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a leading independent body led by four international organisations.
"To become the favorite bank of the French people" is the ambition of La Banque Postale stated in its strategic plan 2030, an objective which will involve a quality of service at the highest level for its customers. La Banque Postale also wants to meet the expectations of all citizens by being a player in the just transition. Finally, the group wants to gain the support of its current and future employees.
La Banque Postale joins forces with the United Nations
within the Zero Net Emission Banking Alliance
Philippe Heim, Chairman of the Management Board of La Banque Postale, today signed the letter of commitment of the Net Zero Banking Alliance, supported by the UNEP FI (United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative) whose ambition is to achieve zero net emissions by 2050.
