Birth of a leading European multi-specialist in conviction-based management: LBP AM completes the acquisition of La Financière de l'Échiquier

La Banque Postale announced today that it has completed the acquisition by LBP AM of La Financière de l'Échiquier (LFDE), one of France's leading entrepreneurial asset management companies. LBP AM now owns 100% of LFDE. The transaction, which has been approved by the French financial markets Authority (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) and competition Authority (Autorité de la Concurrence), creates a key player in conviction-based asset management in France and Europe.

Following the announcement of its company purpose in June 2021, La Banque Postale enters a new phase of its transformation by becoming a mission-led company. This decision was endorsed during the bank’s General Shareholders’ Meeting held on February 23, 2022. It confirms La Banque Postale’s commitment to ensure a “just transition” by including social and environmental targets at the heart of its governance. This approach is in line with La Poste Group’s commitment, as it also became a mission-led company last June.

La Banque Postale, committed to education and equal opportunities, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of L’Envol, its social sponsorship programme supported by the French Ministry of National Education. This programme aims to facilitate the academic and professional achievements of talented young students from less privileged backgrounds across France. To mark this anniversary, La Banque Postale is launching a skills-sharing programme which, in 2023, will allow employees to contribute to the initiative during their office hours.

La Banque Postale and CNP Assurances launch their first Infrastructure fund to accompany customers in the diversification of their savings

La Banque Postale and CNP Assurances have announced the introduction of their first Infrastructure fund, “LBPAM infrastructure Septembre 2030”. This fund has been developed in partnership with LBP Asset Management, La Banque Postale’s asset management subsidiary, and is available to their customers with life insurance policies. The fund will enable customers to diversify their assets and provide a new direction for their savings.

La Banque Postale, which is committed to ensuring that its banking activities achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2040, is the first European bank and one of the first financial institutions worldwide to have its decarbonisation pathway recognised by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a leading independent body led by four international organisations.
