Hervé Guiriec graduated from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas with a degree in Banking and Finance. He began his career in 1992 at La Poste Group, initially as Head of Financing and subsequently as Head of the Trading Room.
In 2002, he was appointed Director of Projects and Organisation at Efiposte, a La Poste subsidiary responsible for the Asset-Liability Management (ALM) of demand deposits. He joined La Banque Postale in 2005 as Director of Operations, Processes and Procedures, before becoming Chief Accounting Officer of La Banque Postale two years later. In 2013, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Tocqueville Finance, the Bank’s asset management company.
In 2017, Hervé Guiriec was appointed Director of the IFRS 9 Programme at La Banque Postale. In March 2018, he was appointed Head of Audit and Risk for La Poste Group and, in June 2024, Deputy General Secretary of La Poste Group in charge of Operations.
In September 2024, he was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of Louvre Banque Privée and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Louvre Banque Privée Immobilier Conseil.
