Christophe Van de Walle graduated from ESCP and ESLSCA and holds a Higher Diploma in Accounting and Finance (Diplôme d’Études Supérieures Comptables et Financières).
He began his career in 1991 at Deloitte & Touche, where for eight years he carried out audit and consulting assignments for credit institutions, financial institutions and financial holding companies of industrial and commercial groups.
He then joined Caisse Nationale des Caisses d’Épargne, where he served as Deputy Group Management Control Director and was responsible for the Group’s financial management from 2000 to 2005.
In December 2005, Christophe Van de Walle joined La Poste Group’s Finance Department as Group Financial Control Director.
In January 2012, he joined La Banque Postale to establish its financing activities for the local public sector. He was appointed Director of the Local Financing Project at La Banque Postale, and subsequently Director of the Local Public Sector division. In July 2013, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of La Banque Postale Collectivités Locales and Development Director within the Corporate and Territorial Development Department.
In April 2014, he became Inspector General of La Banque Postale Group, before being appointed Chief Operating Officer of La Banque Postale and Director of Organisation, Risk and Customer Experience for the La Poste network in April 2019. In this capacity, he was a member of La Banque Postale’s Executive Committee.
Christophe Van de Walle also serves as a Director of La Banque Postale Consumer Finance and La Banque Postale Prévoyance.
