Stéphane Dedeyan, Chairman of the Management Board of La Banque Postale, Deputy Managing Director of the La Poste group

A graduate of HEC Paris, the Institut des Actuaires Français and INSEAD’s AVIRA programme, Stéphane Dedeyan began his career as a consultant at Eurosept and then at A.T. Kearney. After six years working in strategy consulting in the banking, retail and insurance sectors, he joined Athéna Assurances in 1996, where he was responsible for establishing the captive brokerage division, Carene, which was transferred to AGF/Allianz following the acquisition of Athéna. He joined Generali in 1999 as a Professional Risks Inspector within Generali Proximité, before successively being appointed Director of Corporate and Partnerships, Sales Director and Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

In 2006, Stéphane Dedeyan became Chief Executive Officer of Generali Patrimoine and joined Generali France’s Executive Committee. He progressively expanded his responsibilities to cover all savings activities and, across Generali’s operations in France, digital, marketing and distribution. From 2014 to 2017, he served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Generali France, overseeing all insurance activities. At the same time, from 2011 to 2017, he chaired the Personal Insurance Commission of the FFA (Fédération Française de l’Assurance). In 2018, he advised startups and investment funds on their development strategies. In October 2018, he joined Groupe VYV, where he became Chief Executive Officer in February 2019.

On April 16, 2021, Stéphane Dedeyan was appointed Chief Executive Officer of CNP Assurances and, in this capacity, joined La Banque Postale’s Executive Committee. He has also been a member of La Banque Postale’s Management Board since October 2022 and served as interim Chairman of the Management Board of La Banque Postale following Philippe Heim’s departure on August 3, 2023. On October 18, 2023, he was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of La Banque Postale and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of La Poste Group.
