The energy transition will require considerable investments if global warming is to be kept below 2° C by 2050. This makes it a market with strong growth potential, and diverse profiles in different countries depending on their state of advancement. All around the world, the pressing need to transform companies, habits of consumption and regulations will demand the development of new technologies, new business models and alternative modes of production.

LBP AM, convinced of its role in this transition, launched an initial fund focused on Europe in 2009: LBPAM ISR Actions Environnement, 3-time winner of the Climetrics first prize and with over a billion euros under management.

LBP AM manages over €4 billion under sustainable themes1, including €2.8 billion2 in energy transition funds. Now it has leveraged its expertise in this theme to launch its new LBPAM ISR Global Climate Change strategy. The new fund will take exposure to global equity markets, picking companies that make at least 20% of their revenue or EBITDA3 in one or more of the six environmental themes linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030:

  • Renewable energy,
  • Sustainable farming and food,
  • Green buildings,
  • Sustainable transport and mobility,
  • Circular economy,
  • Environmental services and solutions
