La Banque Postale and Groupe BPCE intend to streamline their shareholding relationships and strengthen their industrial partnerships

La Banque Postale, a public banking group, and Groupe BPCE are planning to streamline and simplify all their shareholding and industrial partnerships. As initiated by LBP, both parties have signed a memorandum of understanding, subject to obtaining the necessary authorizations from the competent regulatory authorities for insurance or, as applicable, asset management activities or for merger control, and subject to works councils’ consultation process.

La Banque Postale, a public banking group, and Groupe BPCE are planning to streamline and simplify all their shareholding and industrial partnerships. La Banque Postale is stepping up its decarbonisation strategy

La Banque Postale, which is committed to ensuring that its banking activities achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2040, is the first European bank and one of the first financial institutions worldwide to have its decarbonisation pathway recognised by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a leading independent body led by four international organisations. In connection with its ambitious greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets and in addition to its exit from coal by 2030, La Banque Postale is also announcing a complete withdrawal from fossil fuels (oil and gas) by the same date.

La Banque Postale: Successful €500m Tier 2 Subordinated Notes Issue

La Banque Postale has successfully raised €500 million through a Tier 2 Subordinated Notes issue. The 11.5-year notes are callable in year 6 and pay a fixed interest rate (reset for the remaining 5 years in the event that the notes are not called). The issue forms part of La Banque Postale’s strategy to strengthen its regulatory own funds and optimise its Tier 2 bucket, took advantage of attractive market conditions.
