The Biography of Jérôme Fischer

Inspector General

Jérôme Fischer is a graduate of ESSEC. He began his career on the investment banking and credit teams at Bank of America NT & SA in Paris.

In 1987, he joined the trading room at Banque Indosuez, initially as a trader of interest rate derivatives, and gradually assumed global responsibility for sales of this product line.

From 1999 to 2002, he coordinated all sales teams across the bank’s 20 trading rooms, as the bank evolved from Banque Indosuez to CA Indosuez and then to Crédit Agricole CIB (CACIB). In 2003, he joined the audit department at headquarters before taking over as head of the inspection teams at CACIB’s General Inspection Department in 2006.

In 2010, Jérôme Fischer took charge of the inspection corps and the support functions of the Crédit Agricole Group’s General Inspection Department. He joined La Banque Postale in 2019 as Inspector General and a member of the Executive Management Committee.
