Floriano Ascensao is a graduate of EDHEC (Ecole de Hautes Etudes Commerciales du Nord).
He began his professional career in 1996 as an Analyst and later as a Corporate Account Manager at Paribas. In 2000, he joined Crédit Agricole Indosuez—which would later become Calyon and then Crédit Agricole CIB (CACIB)—where he worked in client coverage roles for mid-sized companies and local governments, and then for large corporations starting in 2005, initially in the aerospace and defense sector and later with clients across a variety of industries.
In 2013, he joined the Investor Development team tasked with establishing partnerships with institutional investors across all asset classes of financing. Beginning in 2014, he created and led the European Credit Private Placement Group, CACIB’s private placement origination team (Euro PP, Schuldschein, USPP, Norwegian bonds, etc.).
He joined La Banque Postale’s Corporate and Investment Banking division in January 2022 as head of the large corporate client division and later as head of large corporate clients. He was appointed head of national coverage at BEDL in January 2024.
